TOKYO, April 5, 2024 – Ricoh today announced it has been awarded a Gold rating from EcoVadis, the world's most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. Placing Ricoh amongst the top 5% of companies assessed, Ricoh has been receiving this recognition consecutively since 2014.*
The EcoVadis assessment evaluates more than 130,000 companies globally on 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Many global companies use EcoVadis insights in their supplier selection.
This year, Ricoh’s commitment to Environment and Sustainable Procurement areas was highly recognized, receiving the highest score of “Outstanding,” which is a result of the Ricoh Group’s advanced environmental management initiatives and its active promotion of ESG risk management in the supply chain, including efforts to improve the working environment and human rights, including those of suppliers.
To realize a sustainable society, Ricoh has identified seven material issues in two areas, “Resolving social issues through business” and “Robust management infrastructure,” and set 16 ESG targets in linkage with the material to work toward solving these issues.
